Abby celebrated her first Easter. I know that she did not have any real idea what was going on but I liked to pretend that she did.
It was a beautiful day in the Bay Area. We attempted to go to Mass but made it a little late. Standing in the back with Abby was not really an option so we went to our favorite breakfast place instead - The Dipsea Cafe.
I love breakfast - Vanilla Latte, granola with fresh fruit. Awesome.
After we met up with the King clan and drove out to Occidential. It was fun driving with Marty's brother, Mike and our nephew Owen. We played our usual "Name that Tune" game and took it all in. We had dinner at The Union Hotel. It was a lot of fun but Abby had a little too much and was very tired on the way home (ie - cranky and cried).
It made me remember the days when I was growing up spending Easter in Palm Desert with my grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts. We would color eggs the night before, spend ours in the pool and have endless egg hunts. I loved having a big family. Even though Abby's will be a little smaller in size I hope that it will be large in memories.
