Wow this weekend was jam packed with visits, dinners and basketball games.
For most of you that know me I am in a constant state of motion. I am not naturally a relaxed person. Here is a perfect example - My husband can stay in house on a sunny day perfectly content to watch endless hours of sports on TV. I on the other hand need to me organizing a drawer, folding laundry or sewing in my craft room. I think it is just that I relax by moving.
But this weekend I decided to just enjoy the moment. It was wonderful. Friday we went to PF Changs for dinner. It is strange how Marty and I used to go there by ourselves and now we have a little family. I love my family. Dinner was great and dessert was even better.
Saturday we went to our favorite dog park and walked in the sunshine while enjoying our morning coffee. I took a moment to step outside my life and looked back at it to see that I was what I had always wanted to become. After a lazy day enjoying Abby in the house we went to our friends house in Petaluma to watch the Final Four games. An even better evening with old and new friends.
Then Sunday was capped off by spending the day with Marty's parents in Napa. I had a wonderful day with my daughter, husband and now will approach every day with the same excitement and let worry find itself another window to jump into.
Abby - When you read this someday, just know that your mother loves you and wants you to enjoy the sunshine or raindrops on your face everyday.
Here are some great pictures that our friend Amy took of Abby: http://www1.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=291817661/a=3475296_27823817/t_=3475296
